📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Associate General Counsel opening in Nassau County, Long Island, NY. In-house sharp, self-starting, associate general counsel with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience to join the in-house legal team. Ideal candidate will have meaningful experience doing primarily or exclusively insurance defense or insurance coverage work for an insurer or law firm. Some of the responsibilities will include but not limited to are: Assist Claim Advocates; Communicate with insureds, carriers, and other necessary parties; prepare claim narratives and attend claim reviews; identify coverage and explore resolutions; Review and Revise contracts; monitor outside counsel and litigation; attend inspections, hearings, conferences, mediations and other formal meetings on behalf of client. Juris Doctorate; Admitted to the NY Bar; 3-5+ years insurance defense and/or coverage experience. Salary up to $100k (DOE) + benefits and 401k. (DC12741)
