Energy Efficiency Specialist

Job SummaryProvide program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and PSEG procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities• Develop and manage the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects andprograms in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.• Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure theProgram rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective and theinformation needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors. Review vendor deliverables.Monitor vendor performance, and review/process vendor invoices.• Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energysavings measures and techniques to program and project oversight.• Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customerprojects and report to management. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program. Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts; Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal businesscontrols.• Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customersatisfaction.• Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices. Job Specific QualificationsRequired:• B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction,or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in the space of energy efficiencyprograms, construction, or related field.• Experience processing milestone based construction payments and forecasting financial spend• Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost• Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written)• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word)• Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail• Knowledge of PSEG’s CEF energy efficiency order and related frameworks such as the NJ CostTest• Able to travel within PSEG territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections,and manage relationships with contractors.
