Revenue Cycle Manager

Overview:Pulmonary and Critical Care Consultants is a physician owned private practice consisting of 14 physicians and 20 APPs practicing in 3 outpatient clinics and providing inpatient services in two local hospitals.

Job Summary: The Revenue Cycle Manager, reporting to the Practice Administrator, will be responsible for managing all revenue cycle functions for the practice. This includes the managing and developing of billing office staff, data analytics, optimization of electronic health record system and support of performance measures via ongoing measurement, data collection and reporting.

Skills:Knowledge of the Revenue Cycle operations (e.g. Registration, Coding, collections, A/R, etc.)Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel)Experience developing reports in various formats and platforms.Strong communication, both oral and writtenCritical thinking and problem solving/analytic mindset. Detail oriented and able to work both independently and as a team.

Essential Functions:Responsible for daily operations of billing office from charge entry through denial management and collections activity.Responsible for fee schedules and payor contractor negotiations in collaboration with Practice leadership.Provider enrollment with contracted payorsReporting from clearinghouse. Lead, manage and develop a team of 4 billing staff.Analyze data (e.g. clinical, financial, etc.), provide insight on trends.Recommend solutions to resolve technical problems and/or enhance and improve processes and/or functionality of an application or process.Develops complex EClinicalWorks (ECW) reports and maintains a comprehensive understanding of database relationships within ECW.Responsible for developing and maintaining standardized reporting and dashboards to help leaders make evidence-based decisions and find creative pathways forward.Maintains, and produces monthly, quarterly, annual reports and dashboards or adhoc analyses and financial models and provides insights on trends and/or anomalies to support financial decisions and strategic business cases.May assist leadership in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting updates as needed.Works with Practice leadership on a variety of projects to identify and execute continuous improvement efforts to drive savings in process and operational execution.Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:EClinicalWorks experience preferred.Certified Coder preferred5 + experience in healthcare financial management and developing reports and dashboards.Experience with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to multitask and possess basic business acumen along with competent interpersonal skills. Confidentiality and maintaining trusting relations, along with strong organization and coordination skills is necessary.Understanding of MIPS reporting.Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or financeJob Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
