Key Responsibilities

Architect and design end-to-end e-commerce solutions using the BigCommerce platform.Develop detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, and integration patterns.Develop customizations and extensions to meet unique business needs using the BigCommerce API, Stencil framework, and other relevant tools.Lead and mentor development teams in implementing e-commerce solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural guidelines.Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle.Evaluate and recommend third-party integrations and apps to enhance the functionality of the e-commerce platform.Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce technologies and platforms, particularly within the BigCommerce ecosystem.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.Proven experience of at least 10 years in designing and implementing e-commerce solutions.3- 4 years of experience in BigCommerce. Should have at least been part of 1 or more end to end BigCommerce implementations.Strong knowledge of e-commerce principles, practices, and technologies.Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud computing, and API-driven architectures.Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.Experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js and programming languages used commonly with BigCommerce.Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and integrations, particularly within the BigCommerce ecosystem.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Client Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.Certifications in BigCommerce or relevant technologies are a plus.
