General Summary

Qualcomm’s Automotive Telematics Team is seeking an individual with experience in the following areas:

Hardware Design Verification: The Design Verification Testing(DVT) of the RF and Baseband systems contained in today’s mobile wireless productsData mining: The analysis and documentation of the DVT data setsTest Stations: The maintenance of the Auto Team’s Lab, DVT Test Stations & EquipmentHelping HW debugging and collecting QXDM logRF Transmit and Receiver Matching: Network Analyzer based skills including reference plane establishment and SMITH Chart usage for topologies consisting of discrete shunt & series elementsHW re-work and generate re-work instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.2G/3G/4G/5G mobile transceivers and 3GPP’s performance testingThe Global Navigation Systems in a mobile deviceWireless connectivity in a mobile device: WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, BluetoothThe baseband systems in a mobile device: Power, Memory Types, Sensors, Imaging, Audible sound in/out, Display, USB, Reference Clocks, and UICCTransmission lines, Power Integrity, and Signal IntegrityBuses: PCIe, CAN, Ethernet, SDIO, I2C, LVDS, SPI, GPIBHands-on lab experience that encompassed Design Development, Design Analysis & Debug, and Design Verification TestingPC Tools: QRCT, QPST, QXDM, JTAG, ADSPC Skill: Windows files and systems, various basic OS settings, installing/updating drivers, Ethernet settingsMicrosoft Tools: EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNoteSoldering & rework skills at small scale (0201)Ability to communicate clearly, organize effectively and document work thoroughlyStrong desire to be a contributing member of a multi-disciplined world-class collaborative Automotive Product Design & Development TeamSkills in RF domain: Impedance, VSWR, reflection, loss, attenuator, mixer, combiner, power meter, spectrum analyzerAbility to read and fully interpret electrical schematics, block diagrams, layout drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of materials

Closely working with telematic HW platform development team to support development activitySetup for RTS and DTS bench and function verificationHardware Design Verification: The Design Verification Testing(DVT) of the RF and Baseband systems contained in today’s mobile wireless productsGenerate test results using Data mining : The analysis and documentation of the DVT data setsThe maintenance of the Auto Team’s Lab, DVT Test Stations & EquipmentMaintain RF bench calibration and bench setup for specific testingHelping HW debugging and collecting QXDM logRF Transmit and Receiver MatchingHW re-work and generate re-work instructions

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. 8+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics or related area.

Pay Range

$56.12 - $84.18

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
