Essential Functions:Initiate, facilitate and moderate classroom lecture and discussion through critical thinking healthcare theoryFollow syllabus, providing feedback as necessaryDiscussing and physically demonstrating required hands-on skillsEvaluating student’s clinical skills, class work and assignments.Checking off on student’s competency of C.N.A and C.M.A skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels-written, verbal, presentation modalities and comfort educating/providing staff resources and supportCollaborating with colleagues to address teaching, curricula, course content, course materials and methods of instructionAbility to identify students who are having difficulty with the material and provide a different learning approach to help them better comprehend the material.Must be able to work independently

Qualifications:Registered Nurse or LPN (Nebraska or Iowa) (required)Prior teaching experience (preferred)Supervised CNA’s currently or in the past (required)Open availability is a bonus (Classes are held days and weekends)Willing to work at least 15 hours a month (may vary)

Hourly: Part-time; $24.00 – $25.00 per hour

License/Certification:Unencumbered NE RN or LPN license (Required)
