Role DescriptionR.C. Fields & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Land Development Civil Engineer who will be responsible for managing the site engineering aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects. The role involves working closely with internal design team, clients, architects, land use planners, and regulatory agencies to develop project designs, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare grading and erosion control plans, and design water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure systems. This is a hybrid role located in Alexandria, VA, with the ability to work from home available.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.E.I.T. designation and the ability to achieve P.E. license.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in working in a collaborative team environment.Experience with stormwater management design and stormwater regulations, including the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act, VPDES, and TMDL regulations, is a plus.Experience with sustainable stormwater management, such as green infrastructure practices, is a plus.
Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in land development engineering including design and permitting.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow/SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office.Knowledge of local development regulations, in Washington D.C., Maryland, and/or Virginia.
