What You Will DoYou will be responsible for the design, development and support of new products and services as well as improvements on mature ones. All product development should be customer-focused and purpose-driven. We make niche products and sell business to businesses. Our award-winning customer service team is well known in our industry for our high quality of customer service and highly knowledgeable team members.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview customer specifications and requirements to develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variableSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesAnalyze, and simulate communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for satellite communications networksEvaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services. Investigate solutions to product or process problemsProject management or project management support10%-25% of domestic and international travel

Technical SkillsWorking knowledge of all aspects of satellite control systems and integrationAntenna Control System designUnderstanding of orbiting satellites and pathsInterpretation of data from orbiting satellitesExperience with ground station maintenance and monitoring operationsInterpretation of records of satellite trendsAnalyze and provide information on space segment lease cost, bandwidth requirements, and frequency managementProject ManagementData architecture and programming proficiencyNetworksComputer systems designCAD experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD+Familiar with Slack, Zendesk, GitLab, and TeamviewerFamiliar with YouTrack, Gatter, and Rapid HarnessFamiliar with TableauDesign, modification of electrical, electronic, mechanical and/or electro-mechanical, sub-systems and systemsPrototypingExperience in new product introduction

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Engineering or equivalentSystems, Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls or Robotics Engineering experienceUnderstand and appreciate computer hardware and software5+ years of customer-facing experience5+ years of field experience5+ years of control system-related experience

Preferred QualificationsExperienced in Satcom essentials, Multi-Motor Control, Large Aperture Antenna, Velocity Loop and Torque BiasProficiency in understanding and implementing trigonometric formulas for satellite pointing predictions
