Position Description
RAND is looking for a Research Finance Administrator II to manage daily financial activities for the Health Care division. This may include research project and overhead budgeting, tracking and monitoring division financial data, participation in business planning, and providing support and guidance for the internal clients of the research division. This position will serve as the point of contact for addressing issues and interacting with support departments, including Financial Management, Contracts & Grants Services, and Accounting.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
First point of contact for financially focused project inquiries by Principal Investigators, Division Management, and RAND support departments.Budgeting and financial oversight of sponsor-funded contract and grant activities.Direct research staff to guidance on policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures.May manage division overhead costs and collect data for various reporting purposes and simple financial analyses.Additionally, may also include some operational responsibilities, as needed, such as support for compliance administrative or other corporate data requirement processes.
Qualifications
Advance Excel skills required.Exposure to database and enterprise applications preferred.Excellent written and verbal skills dealing with a variety of staff levels required.Experience working with contracts and/or grants is required.Familiarity with federal contracting and Federal Access Regulations (FAR) is a plus.Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information appropriately required.

Minimum: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Master's degree
Experience
Minimum: 3 years related experience
Preferred: 6 years related experience
Salary Range
$73,700- $109,400
RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidateβs work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.β―The salary range includes base pay plus RANDβs sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
