Job Summary
Our client, located in DC and partnered with Randstad, is seeking a seasoned Sr. Principal Product Owner to join their team. As a crucial player in our product delivery process, you will embody the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles, ensuring the successful delivery of our products and services. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, Product Management, Architecture, and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate solutions under development.

Responsibilities
Product Ownership: Serve as the primary advocate for the customer, defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog. Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives and customer needs. Prioritization: Use a data-driven approach to prioritize features and user stories, ensuring the team focuses on high-value items. Requirements Gathering: Elicit and document clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with the product vision and goals. Agile Framework: Drive adherence to SAFe principles and agile methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle. Roadmap Development: Contribute to the creation of a product roadmap, outlining delivery schedules and milestones. Release Planning: Participate in release planning activities, including feature prioritization and cross-team coordination. Metrics and Analysis: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement. Product Delivery: Work closely with development teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 8+ years as an agile product owner, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred, with 5+ years of related work experience. Agile Expertise: Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe framework. Decision Making: Ability to prioritize effectively and make data-driven decisions. Problem Solving: strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Tool Proficiency: Experience with Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Certification: SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification required. Preferred Experience: Experience with products or organizations supporting critical data and analytics, including enterprise data catalogs, data quality analytics, data governance, data management, and/or data literacy.
Communications And Interpersonal Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
