📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect – Commercial Digital, you are our artist, bringing countless creations to life one keystroke at a time. In this role, you will be responsible for the life cycle of system architecture for IT business solutions from planning through delivery and maintenance.
What you’ll do:Lead the design of system architecture and strategy for products at the bank (Commercial Digital ) to ensure that solutions follow all standards and best practicesCommunicate complex design strategies in a concise way to stakeholders and executivesImplement and maintain solution architectures for Commercial Digital Channels, including Online, Mobile, Files/Host-to-host & Open API, throughout all stages of the solution lifecycle, and document infrastructure, application, and solution designs/architecturesParticipate in cross-discipline IT business solutions teams to set architectural direction for key business initiatives and communicate designs and solutions to upper level and direct management as well as business stakeholdersEnsure that business solution architecture integrates across internal and third-party technologies, and work with vendors to ensure that third party solutions meet both project needs and standards
What you’ll need:Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience8+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Client-Server Application Deployment and Architecture, Software Development and Architecture, Web Application Architecture, Cloud Native Architecture, Network Design and Architecture, and/or System Design and ArchitectureExperience in designing, deploying, and administering applications in Windows, Unix or Linux, and cloud-based systems such as SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaSExperience with Open API architectureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft computer applications
Additional Preferred Skills:3+ years of experience at a financial institution in architecture of Commercial Channel or Payment platforms3+ years of systems architecture experience of high complexityFamiliarity with financial regulatory standards including SOX, HIPAA, and SEA Rules 17a-fFamiliarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or Rational Unified ProcessExperience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
