Responsibilities for Distribution Engineering ManagerLead distribution engineering staff in managing commercial service projects, ensuring efficiency and reliabilityProvide professional insight and recommendations to support the Construction Work Plan (CWP) and Electric System Plan (ESP), addressing system deficienciesEnsure compliance with industry regulations such as NERC, CERP, PJM, PSC, NESC, NEC, and Tariff requirements, maintaining reliability standardsOversee the review, analysis, and implementation of corrective actions for power quality events and distribution system equipmentStay updated on emerging technologies and recommend pilot implementations to enhance system efficiencyAssist in budget development, perform assigned duties, and complete necessary training to maintain job performance
RequirementsQualified candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited college or university, along with a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, or operations within an electric utility or equivalent firm. Additionally, a practical understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and electric utility system planning is essential.
