Copy Quality and Editorial Associate

NATURE & SCOPEThe Copy Quality/Editorial Associate is a member of Content Clearance (MLR) and has responsibility for ensuring technical and editorial accuracy with relevant internal and external standards as delegated. The role will review content and materials to provide technical and constructive feedback prior to release for use.

This role is up to full time and hours/duties may fluctuate based on department needs. Occasional overtime may be requested during peak business periods.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIESReview, proofread, suggest corrections and/or edit final proofs and working copies provided by internal departments and their agencies.Collaborate with internal marketing and medical stakeholders to increase readability of complex materialVerify consistent brand and tone voice across different types of documents and communications within and across marketing and communication channelsVerify inclusion of required changes and content elementsEnsure that all materials follow agency or brand editorial styleMultitask and prioritize deliverables based on deadlineRequest and track permissions, as applicableUpdate file structures to ensure FDA submission standards are applied

EXPERTISEBUSINESS KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:Bachelor’s degree and an editorial or technical writing background (2-5 years).Basic understanding of the medical/pharmaceutical advertising industry and/or life sciences industry.Excellent communication skills across team, peer group and leadership (virtual and live)Ability to prioritize activities and workload in an agile environment, focus on delivering high quality work in a consistent and efficient mannerHigh focus on details and equally strong ability to work independently and as part of a teamHigh proficiency in Microsoft tools and ability to quickly learn review system technologies
