Job Summary
A Packaging Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Crete, NE area. The Senior Packaging Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and improvement of packaging processes and equipment in the production of pet food, treats, and cat litter.

Responsibilities
Plan, conduct, and coordinate packaging process engineering functions. Oversee all aspects of packaging equipment from primary through secondary packaging. Handle process unit operations for the production of wet and dry pet foods, pet treats, and cat litter. Provide expert knowledge on food processing technology, including production systems, quality/sanitation, and equipment design/application. Offer packaging engineering process design and review for capital projects, including detailed engineering work phases, related documentation, and field support. Coordinate work by outside consultants and suppliers, leveraging broad knowledge of packaging standards, principles, and practices. Support divisional continuous improvement efforts, offering technical assistance to operating facilities.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field. At least 5 years of packaging equipment engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
