Candidate Location Requirements: Onsite- Hillsboro, OR 97006 / Portland OR 97236
Candidates must be in Portland / Hillsboro area and all work will be on-site.
5 days/week on site (there is a bit of flexibility for working remotely 1 day/week, however they would prefer fully onsite).
Chance for Extension (Y/N): Yes, they are planning for the full 18 months
Note: Looking for a candidate with "more focus on Linux kernel development, would like to see candidates that actually did development work rather than created and pushed packages. Not someone who has done configuration or installing Kernal, want someone who has experience with Linux Kernal development.

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Kernel Development Contractor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Linux kernel development, device driver development, and Linux distribution development.
In this role, you will: Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules and device drivers.Work on Linux kernel memory management, load, and boot process.Contribute to Linux virtualization development.Utilize software development tools such as compilers and git.Create and manage Debian packages.Work with the Yocto build system.Qualifications: (Technical Skills)Strong experience in Linux kernel development and device driver development.In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel memory management, load, and boot process.Experience with Linux virtualization technologies.Proficiency in software development tools such as compilers and git.Experience with Debian package creation and management.Familiarity with the Yocto build system.
