Account Executive -Public Relations -Miami, FL or REMOTE
rbb Communications, a best place to work and top 50 integrated communications firm seeks an experienced Public Relations Account Executive who brings significant national media contacts and pitching expertise, strong organizational and communications skills, and a proven ability to multitask to manage priorities. Applicants must thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Key Responsibilities: Our AEs contribute smart and creative ideas aligned with client strategies, secure top-tier impact placements, and play a client-facing role. They work on six to eight accounts and must be organized, motivated and ready to turbocharge their career.
Media:Write pitches, releases, advisories, etc.Develop media angles, contribute to media strategyDevelop targeted media lists; stay up to date on media outlets, sections, reportersForm strong media relationships; share leads, ideas and contacts with teamPitch top tier media and secure impact storiesUp to date on media trends, editorial calendars, themes, deadlines, etc. to create opportunities for clientsManage and mentor AAEs as they maintain media logs, results reportsCoordinate details for stories, including materials shared with media, scheduling and interview preparation
Internal/Client Service:Connect with clients regularly for updates and feedback to ensure account team productivity on initiativesEnsure detailed organization for client, media & office activities, deadlines, requestsProduce thorough weekly updates for clients, including media updates and new initiatives (events, marketing alliances, eblasts, etc.)Produce formal bi-weekly/monthly reports and clip books for each clientTrack client and industry newsSupport recruitment, interviews and training of junior staff
Qualifications and skills:Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higherExperience: one to four years of relevant agency experience in PR setting - working with luxury consumer lifestyle brands, corporate, real estate or cultural accounts; significant national media contacts and pitching experienceSkills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), Cision, Asana; familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook); media savvy (Digital, Print, TV, Radio); Strong, persuasive writing skillsFun to work with, willing to karaoke and all-around great attitude; solid references
