Our client in Baton Rouge is seeking a talented legal assistant! This blended legal assistant/paralegal role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with attorneys specializing in construction litigation. There is a billable requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in construction litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.Assist with case management tasks such as organizing files, scheduling court appearances, and maintaining deadlines.Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law issues, preparing summaries and reports for attorney review.Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, ensuring all necessary documents and exhibits are prepared and organized.Manage billable hours requirements by accurately tracking time spent on client matters and administrative tasks.
Required
Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a focus on litigation preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
