📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
A large, reputable privately owned City Services company has an immediate need for an Accountant II at their Sun Valley office location (5 days a week, in office). Generous comp and stellar benefits package - $80,000+ total comp + bonus structure.
The Senior Accountant (Accountant II) applies complex principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. They will oversee the implementation of accounting controls. Must have at least 4 years of Accountant experience with a minimum 2+ years in a mid to senior level accountant role preferred. Must have experience with the full Accounting Close process and Financial Statement Preparation.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:Minimum 5 Years of Accountant experienceMinimum 3 years+ mid-level Accountant experience with full Accounting Close process and Financial Statement preparation preferredExperience working in mid-large size corporationsExperienced in managing complex accounting and variance analysisDemonstrated experience in mentoring and training lower-level Accountants/Accounting Staff membersDemonstrated experience in leading projects and teamsIntermediate level user of Excel must be proficient with pivots, lookups, data managementGeneral Ledger, journal entries, calculating & posting accrualsFixed Assets, AP/AR, Purchasing & ProcurementStrong time management skillsStrong communication & presentation skillsStrong analytical skills
Prepares highly complex journal entries for entry into the general ledger system on a monthly basis by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs and preparing audit train support for the journal entries.
