Internal Audit Manager

This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

As an Internal Audit Manager you'll be part of the Governance Risk and Compliance team responsible for managing Controls over Financial Reporting / Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404), Operational Audits and Risk reviews. Continued support and integration of internal and external parties to drive audit programs. Maintain a deep understanding of internal controls supporting both financial statement risks as well as information technology systems. Willingness to embrace ambiguity and propose solutions.

The Role

Manage SOX 404 program across business lines (Redfin, Rent. and Bay Equity) to include: planning audit timelines, assessment of financial statement risks/controls and support of developing business functions for SOX complianceProvide support to controls/process owners as well as cross-functional teams in design and operational excellence of controls to include entity level controls for both SOX and Operational areas of focusManage and assist in coordination of audit efforts across audit teams, both internal and external to include review and assessment of third party vendorsProvide ongoing training to control/process owners on SOX requirements to include identifying current industry trends, regulatory and/or compliance framework updates. Prepare and deliver Audit reports to key members in which to drive adherence to company goals and regulationsPartner with teams across the business in identifying areas of additional for operational improvement.Lead the Internal Audit team (internal and external resources) in evaluating internal controls over financial reporting (SOX)Supervise junior staff and provide coaching and development opportunities in support of SOXProvide periodic feedback to junior staff members for continuous growth and development opportunities

Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience in public and private sector attestation experience (Big 4 and/or Real Estate/Mortgage experience preferred)Degree in finance, accounting or related field (CPA license is not required for this position) Extensive understanding and experience with controls frameworks (COSO 2013) to include design and operational execution of controls (both Business and Information Technology)Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), AICPA, SOC and SEC/PCAOB regulationsRisk management experience to include; enterprise risk assessments, management of risk controls frameworks and fraudStrong communication skills and the ability to convey concepts clearly to peers and managementDemonstrated history of solving complex challenges in a fast technology driven environment

The compensation information is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Hawaii, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Washington, and California.

Base Pay Range: $100,000.00 - 149,800.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity. Potential for quarterly bonuses based on company performance. Potential for merit increases and stock grants based on performance.
