ReDiscover is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to add to our CPRC-South Kansas City program!

What We Do

CPRC is a case management focused program that provides individuals with support to live an independent life in the community. Through a variety of multidisciplinary services that clients can choose from including medication management, therapy, group therapy, health and wellness support, employment services and transportation support, clients can develop skills, access resources and learn ways to manage their emotional and physical health.

At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:

Evaluates client’s mental health condition based on the review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation, and diagnostics. Collecting information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports.Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience, knowledge, and understanding of the client’s information and history. Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.Counsels clients, individually and in group sessions specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for the client(s) being served.

We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Mental Health Clinician. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).Active Provisional Counselor license through the state of Missouri or a Master Social Worker license with registered supervision with the Missouri Division of Professional Registration for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.Active clinical license in the State of Missouri which includes: Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is preferred.Previous experience with DBT preferred.Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disordersExcellent customer service skills with a recovery focusStrong written, oral and interpersonal communication skillsIntermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite
