Core Responsibilities: Develop and refine technical proposal storylines Collaborate with the ReefPoint Group team to clearly and concisely articulate company strengths, win themes, key differentiators, and business value proposition Work with the capture manager, proposal manager, and SMEs to develop written sections of the proposal Respond to technical proposal sections and clearly articulate the business value to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders Adhere to schedules and deadlines established by the proposal manager Research, prepare draft guidance material and documentation, evaluate technical alternatives and recommend preferred options Develop comprehensive proposal content based on interviews with technical, program, and/or management staff Skilled to support writing requirements for white papers, capability briefs, or complex documents Convert complex documentation to clear language for different audience types Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to produce documents that convey relevant information regarding the details of current contracts and projects Participate in the quality, compliance, and completeness of each opportunity response, including participation in color reviews and refining content based on feedback from review teams and other stakeholders Ensure written responses are concise and clear Assist with identifying areas of non-responsiveness to the requirements Perform and/or ensure proposal color team recovery is conducted Assist in capture management support as directed by leadership Develop an approach for capturing technical data on an on-going basis Develop RFI/RFP responses

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Computer Science, or similar field of study Minimum of 5 years in federal proposal technical writing required Knowledge of the federal government acquisition cycle, contract vehicles, contract types, and competitive position required Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills required Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility. Familiar with government contractor environment and proposals. Highly organized and able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. Proficiency in MS Office products. Prior experience with computer science proposal writing is preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required.

Work Environment: Work will be done in an office setting/environment and will need to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment. The person in this role will need to have the ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and occasionally will need to move about inside an office environment. This position frequently communicates with other employees and external stakeholders. The person needs to have the ability to accurately exchange information in these settings. This position is on a hybrid work schedule, with some time spent in our Tysons Corner, VA office.
