Sr. Designer/Drafter

Brief Description

Rexnord Aerospace (a Division of Regal Rexnord), a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Designer/Drafter Sr. based in our Downers Grove, IL facility.

Key Accountabilities

Develop detailed design drawings for assemblies and components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Coordinate component design, lay-outs, and drawing details with cross-functional team members including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Purchasing,Create and maintain BOM’s (bill of materials) for assemblies and components. Create and maintain Item Master files in Microsoft NAV ERP systemCreate and maintain drawing templates and formatsProcess Engineering Changes for all drawings, BOM’s, and Item Master files. Facilitate thorough Configuration Management practices. Support Continuous Improvement and Kaizen activities.

Job Requirements, Capabilities, And Success Factors

Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline preferred10 years experience requiredPrevious Drafting experience requiredKnowledge of standard engineering drafting practices and GD&T practices per ASME Y14.5M. Experience in the design of components with tight tolerances. Must have experience in Solidworks of 3D Modeling of components and multi piece assemblies. Previous drafting experience within the Aerospace Industries is a plus. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
