VP Senior Transaction Leader

Position Overview

The VP, Senior Transaction Leader serves as a senior-level leader of transactions (new business transactions, acquisitions or partnerships) or other strategic initiatives which tangibly enhance RGA capabilities, financial flexibility or performance consistent with the enterprise’s five-year strategic plan. The individual will work closely with senior business leaders and functional leaders to manage or lead various transactions or strategic initiatives that are expected to add meaningful and sustainable value.

Responsibilities

Maintain a deep understanding of the enterprise’s five-year strategy and strong relationship with the RGA leadership team.Lead client transactions as it relates to developing and managing strategic partnerships or revenue generating business activities. Ensure the pursuit is conducted in an efficient manner commensurate with the anticipated value creation.Lead the shaping and qualifying of an opportunity and if so, determine the structure of the dealManage messaging and interfacing with seller/seller’s advisors and RGA leadership teamManage the RGA deal team and interface with the client during the analysis, negotiation and closing of the transactionProvide senior leadership for assigned strategic initiatives or other non-transactional projects as assigned.Coordinate and provide leadership to project team – provide coordination, drive results, and ensure appropriate governance and decision-making to reach desired results.

Requirements

Education And Experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing or related degree or equivalent related work experience20+ years of life or annuity insurance/reinsurance experience, including finance and operations.10+ years of experience evaluating and implementing business acquisitions.

Preferred

MBA, CPAFLMIPrior experience in developing / managing partnerships with third parties which may include capital providers, TPAs, asset managers or service providers.

RGA offers a comprehensive total rewards package including a range benefits and flexible plans. The pay range for this position is $204,410 – $304,695 per year in addition to an annual bonus. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
