Hi,Hope you are doing well, GIS AnalystPosition Location: on-site (Detroit, MI) GIS Analyst (S190464A-53), one (1) openingEmphasis on the ArcGIS Tool Set and Scripting in Python and SQLwant a senior individual here, with 5+ years of experience Expected Engagement Duration: 6 months with possible extension or direct hire Background:In this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of GIS theory and applications; possess clear understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, applications, and functionality; identify, understand, and articulate solutions for business objectives through knowledge in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, Survey123, ArcGIS Collector, and other related ArcGIS technologies. Scope of Services:Technology Services is seeking a qualified, full-time candidate who will utilize their knowledge and expertise to:• Preform a wide variety of analytical and geoprocessing functions to create, maintain and retrieve data• Monitor of GIS environment – GIS Enterprise Portal (ArcGIS Server/Portal), ArcGIS Online, and SQL Relational database• Develop GIS solutions using ArcGIS software to enhance existing and future GIS projects• Responsible for meeting with the business and evaluating project/request requirements and providing guidance/solutions accordingly• Develop geographic databases, including designs and models. Comprehensive working knowledge of database concepts (including SQL DB)• Assist with field data collection using ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS Collector• Assist with training and technical support of end users and stakeholders Minimum QualificationsThe successful candidate should have a broad business background, good interpersonal communications skills and a thorough understanding of GIS theory and applications. For consideration, the candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications:• B.S. in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field• Minimum 5 years of related experience as a GIS Analyst working with ESRI Product suite• Minimum 5 years’ experience related to Geodatabase management procedures, and relational databases• Minimum 3 years’ experience of GIS programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL)• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Autodesk’s AutoCAD, BIM, and the conversion into GIS• Strong written and oral communication skills• Attention to detail, customer focus, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will also have:• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and easily transition from one task to another to complete projects in a timely manner• Certificate and/or Licenses: Geographic Information Science Certificate or equivalent• General knowledge of Maximo Asset Management System• Experience with subsurface utility mapping• Experience with interior building mapping and wayfinding• Experience working with 3D GIS software (ArcScene) Looking forward to hearing from you..!
