📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
REN-ISAC is a Research and Education Networks Information Sharing and Analysis Center that serves over 750 member institutions within the higher education and research community by promoting cybersecurity operational protections and response. Our organization is hosted by Indiana University, however our constituency spans across multiple countries. Software engineer position will be joining our technical operations team where we support both internal and external facing technology for our organization.
EDUCATION
RequiredBachelor's degree (preferably in computer science, business systems, or related field)
WORK EXPERIENCERequired2-5 years software development or related experiencePreferredSoftware development expertise in Python Experience with version control Experience with relational databases and other data storage solutions Experience with 3rd party and custom application administrationExperience with Ruby on Rails Experience with Software development lifecycle, REST API, CI/CD, Unit Testing Experience with Project Management Experience with JS, and its frameworks and libraries Ability to easily learn new programming languages and new technologies
