The Lab Technician position is full time Monday - Friday from 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM at our Basking Ridge, NJ location with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule and frequent rotation to the Morristown and Basking Ridge offices.

Job Responsibilities

Perform semen analysis to include sperm count, sperm motility, sperm morphology, viability, leucoscreen and anti-sperm antibody testingPerform routine sperm preps for inseminations and cryopreservationAssist the physician in exam rooms with inseminationsMaintain accurate, current cryopreservation recordsMESA/TESE proceduresPerform hormone assays utilizing the automated Siemens Immulite 2000 system or Centaur XPInterpret hormone resultsPerform and maintain records for all study protocolsTrouble-shoot the Immulite 2000 and Centaur XP systemsEscort patients to collection rooms

Skills & Requirements

BS in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory scienceMinimum six (6) months’ laboratory training or experience in a clinical labAbility to work independently, demonstrate good judgment and remain composed in a high standard environmentExcellent listening/counseling/interpersonal, and communications skills required to manage sensitive patient situations properlyMust be resourceful, well organized and detail oriented with excellent follow up and computer skillsHigh energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.Regular weekend rotations and travel to Basking Ridge, NJ when needed is required.
