📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a premier full-service law firm, specializing in personal injury protection (PIP). For over 30 years, they have handled tens of thousands of cases and recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for its clients in different areas of law, including personal injury/car accidents, personal injury protection (PIP) litigation, workers’ compensation, family law, employment law, real estate law, elder law, and commercial litigation.
They are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Pre-Suit Personal Injury Associate/Attorney to join its team. Must be able to work full time in the office in either West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale.
Main Responsibilities
Handle a case load, attend court, negotiate settlements, oversee trial preparation, conduct trials, and attend meditations and arbitration's Advise clients of claim liability and legal rights interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.Conduct depositions and respond to discovery demandsAbility to conduct discovery and draft motionsGather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of caseEvaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of casesGather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases, and update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Main Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1+ years' of pre suit personal injury experience that is documented, and be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.Prior experience on the Plaintiff side with Personal Injury ProtectionMust have strong attention to detailPosition is 5 days a week in the office
Salary is between 100K-125K plus 5% of all cases settled
