Role Description This is a full-time on-site role as a Memory Care Engagement & Education Coordinator, located in St Petersburg, FL. The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the engagement and education programs for memory care residents. This includes developing and implementing therapeutic programming, therapeutic environments , therapeutic interventions, and regular purposful daily programming, partnering and utilization of RUI Signature Programs, coordinating with staff and families, educating and trainnf staff, leading and/or organizing support groups, volunteer management and recruitment, and assessing the needs and preferences of residents to ensure a person-centered approach to care.

Qualifications Music Therapist MT-BC, Art Therapist ATR, Recreation Therapist (CTRS) strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service abilitiesKnowledge of memory care and dementia care practicesAbility to develop and implement engaging and meaningful activitiesUnderstanding of person-centered care principlesExperience working with older adults, particularly those with memory impairmentsCertification in dementia care or related field is a plus. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, follow instructions and directions, and interact with residents of varying backgrounds. and abilities, remain cheerful and calm under stressful situations and work as a team member.Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.Must have a safe driving record. A copy of the Division of Motor Vehicle Driving Record must be given to the Executive Director upon hire.
