Senior Accountant

Retrofete is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within an organization. A successful candidate will possess the communication skills and business acumen necessary to interact with multiple teams.This position requires a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Job Responsibilities:Responsible for various functions within the accounting department including participating in the monthly-close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, and performing accounting reconciliations.Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting.Maintain standard operating procedures for financial reporting accuracyPerform ad hoc financial analysis.Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.Recommend improvements to the efficiency of accounting processes and timeliness of deliverables.Responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, accounting operations, internal controls, financial analysis, audit, and compliance.Responsible for Sales Tax reporting.

Your Key Knowledge, Experience & QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA certification is required).5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting and public accounting experience.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet. Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong work-ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.Excellent business judgment, analytical and decision-making skills and a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills required.Knowledge of QBO is a must.Fashion Industry experience is a plus.
