Job Title: 5G/ 6G AI/ML Network Research Scientist

Rexus USA LLC is seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI/ML Network Research Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and demonstrating new models and algorithms to support edge and distributed AI, AI-based network architectures, and advanced routing for 5G/6G networks and quantum networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, optimization algorithms, and network architecture, with experience in the telecommunications industry.Responsibilities:

Design, evaluate, and demonstrate new models and algorithms for supporting edge and distributed machine learning in 5G/6G networks and applications.Develop optimal resource allocation algorithms to ensure end-to-end quality-of-service (QoS) assurance over 5G/6G networks.Design efficient entanglement routing algorithms for quantum networks.Collaborate closely with a team of CTL scientists working on 6G core networks to assist in the design and implementation of a 5G core network testbed.Conduct tests, data collection, and evaluation of new AI/ML algorithms for supporting networking functions and selected applications, such as automated driving.Support collaborations with internal and external collaborators to further research and development efforts.Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in AI/ML algorithms and network architectures.Qualifications:Master's or Ph.D. degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field with a focus on machine learning, optimization, or network architecture.Strong background in machine learning, optimization algorithms, and network architecture.Experience in designing and implementing distributed optimization and learning algorithms.Knowledge of telecommunications principles and protocols, particularly in 5G/6G networks and quantum networks.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.Experience with network simulation tools and platforms, such as NS-3, OMNeT++, or MATLAB.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and external partners.Prior experience in AI/ML research or development in the telecommunications industry is preferred but not required.If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI/ML technologies and making significant contributions to the future of telecommunications, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity with Rexus USA LLC.
