📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for an Application Engineer that will be responsible for growing and supporting our rapidly growing advanced engineering offerings through assisting our sales engineers in identifying, demonstrating, and implementing solutions involving:· DC Tools· Augmented Reality· Spatial Positioning· Robotics· 3D and Machine Vision· MES Systems
Specific tasks will include:· This role will cover NC, SC, VA, FL, and the East Coast of GA. The ability to travel is required.· Manage and respond to customer and Sales Engineers inquiries in prompt fashion.· Customer Relations Excellence through assisting and resolving customer’s technical requests / issues in a prompt and professional manner.· Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with colleagues.· Programming and debugging of various software suites; including PLC’s, HMIs, Servo Drives, vision inspection systems, industrial robots, and AR products.· Implementing solutions onsite at client factories.· Training sales engineers and client on new technologies from our suppliers· Assisting sales and proposal management in sourcing and costing respective solution hardware and software.
Required disciplines:Friendly, positive, and resilient attitude· Excellent organizational skills – ability to prioritize.· Self-starter that has strong time management skills· Strong ability to collaborate and willingness to assist the team.· Ability to comprehend technical product data.· Mechanical aptitude· 2-year technical degree or equivalate factory experience· Proficiency witho PLC’s = Allen Brandley, Rockwell, etco Communication networks – Ethernet TCP/IP, RS 232o Field Bus – Ethernet IP, Device-Net, Profibus, Modbuso Open Protocol communication
Preferred disciplines:· Bachelor’s Engineering degree· Prior industrial / manufacturing factory experience· Local to Concord, NC is preferred as that location serves as your main hub.
