Description
Ricardo Defense is currently recruiting for an experienced Server Administrator to join our Information Technology Department in our Troy, MI office. This is a Hybrid position which will allow some work from home.
Qualified candidates must be local to the Troy, MI office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage the organization's virtualization platforms and server infrastructure to support scalable and flexible infrastructure solutionsMonitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal functionalityCollaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain infrastructure security measuresEvaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to meet business needsManage infrastructure documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and proceduresImplement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data and ensure business continuityAct as an escalation point for the IT service deskStay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferredMust be able to obtain a US Secret Clearance. Minimum requirement to obtain a clearance is U.S Citizenship. Only applicants that meet this requirement will be consideredSponsorship for this position is not providedA minimum of five years of experience in Windows Server administration and supportFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure cloud servicesProficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server, 2016, 2019, 2022)Strong knowledge of M365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows Server servicesExperience implementing, and managing VMware environments including Horizon View VDIExperience with Veeam backup solutionStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve infrastructure issuesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
