JOB DESCRIPTION-Extrusion Process Engineer

We are in search of an Extrusion Process Engineer in Springdale, Arkansas.

Salary $75-80k DOE

Creating and maintaining an effective aluminum extrusion process is the responsibility of the extrusion process engineer. The role includes many engineering disciplines, such as Process, Safety, Quality, Reliability, and Project Engineering for the relevant department. Along with establishing project cost estimates, project justification, contract and vendor management, and project cost accounting, the Engineer will also be in charge of capital execution. Additionally, for at least one safety protocol, the engineer will serve as the Single Point of Accountability.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Day-to-day technical advice, problem solving and support to operations and maintenance by applying engineering principles, tools and skills to solve problems to root cause;Ensuring immediate equipment functionality and supporting the implementation of long term improvement strategies;Reviewing or participating in existing equipment modifications or new equipment installations (capex) and ensuring compliance with appropriate engineering standards;Developing and implementing engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive equipment failures;Facilitating the improvement of equipment reliability through reducing failures and turnaround times for planned and unplanned events;Leading/Facilitating risk assessment and value analysis to make accurate engineering decisions for repair/replace/redesign;Identifying and/or implementing new ideas and cost reduction opportunities;Managing contractor activities to support the implementation of critical equipment repairs or modifications;Conveying technical ideas and concepts to support plant objectives and goals;Creating, maintaining, and updating equipment files, programs and drawings;Overseeing key processes involving extrusion of aluminumWork with Die Suppliers on cost, inventory, and design.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Extrusion Process Engineer

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Metallurgical Science from an accredited institutionAbility to work in a manufacturing environment and perform the tasks as listed aboveEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

5 years’ experience with Aluminum ExtrusionExperience with AutoCAD and / or SolidWorks;
