Production Manager - Dairy

A global leader in the dairy industry is currently recruiting for a number of Production Manager opportunities across the United States, this recruitment campaign would be initially for Production Manager roles but with an eye for future talent who could potentially become Plant Directors or even develop in their corporate offices.

This business is globally an established as a leader in the dairy industry and they have made several high profile acquisitions in the US which is helping to grow their American business.

There are a number of opportunities across the US available but candidates with an open mind to relocation would be beneficial, relocation would be financially compensated.

Key Responsibilities:The role has responsibility for the Dairy operations and reports into the Site Manager, you will play an integral role in the day to day activity across processing, production and packaging and your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : Ensuring production is as per the production schedule, and manufacturing cost budgets.Ensure compliance to food safety requirements for all products manufactured.Ensure all product produced are to company specification and in line with quality guidelines and expectations of our customers.Coach and manage your team of direct reports to achieve budget, quality, production requirements; and matters relating to employee performance and development.Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of workplace safety, expenditure and people management.

The ideal candidate would be/have:Experience in the dairy industry is essential, this could be in Milk, Cheese, Butter or Whey.Previous experience in the supervision, leading and development of teams.Strong communication skills, written and verbal.Demonstrated self-motivation; strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.Previous experience identifying and implementing business improvement initiatives.
