Position SummaryThe Executive Director is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for overseeing the overall operations, growth, and success of River City Youth Ops. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in setting and executing the organization’s strategic vision, ensuring financial sustainability, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesUphold organizational alignment with its mission statementFoster effective communication with the Board of Directors, serving as the principal liaison and providing essential information Lead fundraising initiatives to bolster support for RCYO's missionEnsure fiscal prudence through the development of annual budgets, monthly financial reports, and collaboration with RCYO's bookkeeper and accountantSpearhead strategic planning endeavors for the organizationCultivate new partnerships and supervise all marketing and communications endeavorsOversee day-to-day operations and staff management to ensure smooth organizational functioning

QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in the nonprofit sector with a minimum of 7 years of experienceProven track record in nonprofit management, encompassing staff supervision and leadershipProficiency in fundraising, encompassing grant writing and fostering donor relationshipsStrong financial management skills, coupled with experience collaborating with a Board of DirectorsIn-depth knowledge of food systems (preferred but not required) In-depth knowledge of the Spokane nonprofit landscape Experience working with youth and completion of previous trauma-informed trainingBachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Agriculture, or NonProfit Management (preferred but not required)

CompensationThis position is full-time with exempt status. RCYO provides a $300 health stipend to be used by the employee for health insurance or other wellness needs. RCYO offers 13 paid holidays, paid sick leave, and paid vacation leave. Additionally, RCYO offers flexible schedules and ability for hybrid working. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience.
