Job Summary: As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of their company. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled accountants, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and implementing and maintaining robust accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with GAAP standards.Coordinate and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.Manage the company's financial systems and software, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any audit findings in a timely manner.Stay current on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate updates to the team as needed.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Excellent leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems; experience with [mention specific software if applicable] is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, remote work environment.Experience in [mention any specific industry knowledge or specialized skills if applicable] is a plus.
