The Controller position is a permanent opportunity in the Canton, Massachusetts region. You will succeed in this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. You will succeed in this position if you can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. How you will make an impact

Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

Requirements

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills Strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Direct Supervision experience Microsoft Excel experience preferred Deep understanding of cost accounting
