📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of accounting for one or more functional departments or projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both public and private accounting, with at least 10 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of accounting for assigned functional departments or projects.Work closely with the Finance Department to analyze variances to budget and forecast.Review financial statement packages prior to submission to internal clients.Perform and assist with profitability analysis, financial decision-making, and operating statistics for assigned functional areas.Identify and evaluate complex technical accounting issues, reaching sound conclusions and generating alternative solutions with a deep understanding of the consequences.Supervise and mentor a team of two accounting professionals.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.10+ years of experience in both public and private accounting.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and technical accounting issues.Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Proven leadership and managerial abilities.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
