As a Grant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial aspects of our grant-funded projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong grant accounting background and a passion for making a difference in the local community.Responsibilities:Grant Financial Management: Manage all financial aspects of grant-funded projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Budget Development: Collaborate with project managers and program directors to develop grant budgets that align with project goals and objectives.Grant Compliance: Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines, including reporting requirements and allowable expenses.Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for grantors, stakeholders, and internal management.Expense Monitoring: Monitor grant expenditures to ensure they are within budget and in accordance with grant guidelines.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to grant finances.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in grant-funded projects.Grant Closeout: Facilitate the closeout process for grant-funded projects, including final reporting and reconciliation of project finances.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.At least 2 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Familiarity with grant regulations and compliance requirements.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience working with nonprofit organizations or government grants.Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
