Medical Biller

An incredible organization located in the Somerset County area is looking for a Medical Biller for their hospital division reporting to the Revenue Cycle Manager. This Medical Biller would be responsible for the following duties:Execute detailed patient billing, including Medicare, Medicaid, and multiple payer claims for Durable Medical Equipment.Maintain meticulous records of billed claims and reconcile cash received with billing records.Pursue collection of unpaid balances and address denials received from claims submission.Investigate and address inquiries regarding billing issues.Manage filing system for billing claims.Cultivate external relationships with third-party agencies for billing support.Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.Foster collaborative relationships with other departments and team members.Attend Finance department meetings and participate in professional growth opportunities.Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

The ideal Medical Biller would possess the following qualifications:5+ years of proficiency in Medicare, Medicaid, and Durable Medical Equipment billing.Responsible and ethical handling of sensitive financial information.Accurate and efficient data entry skills.Strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.Compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as organizational policies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.Comfortable with technology, eager to learn new software programs.Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
