Patient Care Coordinator

Robert Half is actively seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to become a pivotal part of our healthcare team in Chandler, AZ. We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator who excels in delivering exceptional customer service and is passionate about enhancing the patient experience. This role involves working closely with our Fortune 500 healthcare client, specifically in the Emergency Department which operates on various days and hours. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will ensure a seamless registration process for all patients.

Responsibilities:Employ excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive patient experience throughout the registration process.Conduct appropriate patient identification, collect accurate and thorough patient demographic data.Obtain insurance information, verify eligibility and benefits, and determine and collect patient financial liabilities.Refer patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for assistance with financial counseling and/or clearance.Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability.Serve as an information source for patients and families by explaining hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and Patient Rights and Responsibilities.

Requirements: Proven ability to provide top-tier customer service in a fast-paced environment.Experience in patient registration or a similar role within healthcare, with solid understanding of medical billing and insurance verification.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Flexibility to work various shifts in the Emergency Department, including nights and weekends, as needed.HIgh School diploma or equivalent.
