We are partnering with a leading engineering and scientific consulting firm to find a dedicated Payroll Supervisor to join their Finance/Accounting Group in Menlo Park, CA.

Position Overview: The Payroll Supervisor will report to the Assistant Controller and be responsible for processing payroll for U.S.-based employees using ADP WorkForce Now. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise a team of two payroll accountants.Administer bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate processing of transactions.Maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and internal control policies.Facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation.Identify and recommend updates to payroll systems and procedures.Lead and assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or related field.10+ years of multi-state and international payroll experience for >500 employees.Experience supervising payroll processes for both salaried and hourly staff.Ability to act strategically and analytically with a focus on process and control discipline.Experience supporting the administration of stock incentive plans.Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency with ADP WorkForce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
