Dynamic Energy company in Downtown Houston is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Excellent Benefits & Hybrid Schedule!!As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in either Oil & Gas or public accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Staff Accountant Responsibilities:Perform account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including but not limited to revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accountsAssist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reportsSupport the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and accruals as necessaryCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting
Staff Accountant Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or public accountingCPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
