Life Sciences and Biopharma Analyst, Event-Driven Investment Fund (Hybrid Suburban NY)
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a rapidly growing investment fund with outstanding returns located in suburban NY, would like to add an Analyst to their team. The fund invests in companies that have complex legal issues like patent infringement, antitrust claims, restructurings, special situations, and corporate malfeasance impacting their stock and/or bond prices. The fund looks for legal catalysts across pharma, biotech, oncology, cardiology, and specialized patient treatment. They do not look at big pharma names. They are not investing in PIPEs or providing venture financing. Top candidates for the role should have 3-8 years of experience. Backgrounds should include an Investment Banking Analyst program preferably in Healthcare and buyside and/or sellside public equity experience looking at biopharma or biotech specifically, and healthcare generally. Candidates must have strong financial modeling skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly. Some credit experience is a plus. An advanced degree in biological science, medicine, or related field is a plus, but not required. They will not consider lawyers. Compensation: $175,000+ bonus.
