Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you are the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Our Long Term Care Unit (B7) is a 25 bed unit that is considered Med/Surg but functions more holistically as Long-Term Care. Patients on B7 are medically ready and have a difficult discharge process: awaiting placement to a rehab center, pending guardianship, or need to find a new place to call home as their former home is no longer capable of living in. B7 houses mainly a geriatric population and may get behavioral patients on the unit.

STATUS: Full Time (36 hours per week)

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night, every other Weekend/Holiday

Responsibilities

Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experienceMedication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbalDocumentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process

Education

AS: Nursing (Required)

Licenses / Certifications

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Physical Requirements

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
