Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Business Analyst - Healthcare (STAR CMS/HEDIS). The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, documenting business processes, gathering and documenting business requirements, and communicating with stakeholders. This role is located in Louisville, KY and requires on-site work.
QualificationsAnalytical Skills and Business AnalysisExcellent Communication skillsExperience in Business Process analysis and documentationAbility to gather and document Business RequirementsKnowledge of Healthcare industry and STAR CMS/HEDIS is a plusExperience with Agile methodologies is beneficialStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsWorking understanding of healthcare:\Understanding the importance of Provider NPIDefine the connectivity between Member ID, Patient ID and Payer CCN (Claim Control Number)Understanding of how payments and adjustments are made, in Encounters, especially the 837 Healthcare ClaimOverall understanding of the flow of claims from Provider-to-Payer; adjudication; and from Payer to CMS for Encounters.Working knowledge of how to build User StoriesExperience with Agile / ScrumFor this current client, an understanding of how Medicare Advantage works is very important, especially for a BA.Ability to work with Off-Shore TeamsAbility to work with both technical and non-technical personnel.
