Responsibilities:Overseeing the overall financial operations of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, audits, and tax activitiesDeveloping and implementing policies, procedures, and goals in coordination with system managementProviding financial leadership to department heads and officers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsPlanning and implementing new services to generate additional revenueSupervising departmental operations and personnel in accordance with organizational standardsCoordinating payroll, payroll taxes, and other reporting to regulatory agenciesAnalyzing and promoting organization-wide performance improvement activitiesRepresenting the organization at various meetings, including medical staff and community gatheringsParticipating in monthly operation reviews and corporate office meetings as necessary
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferredPrevious experience as a Hospital CFOMinimum 10 to 15 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience3-5 years of experience in a leadership roleProven multitasking abilities with a background in small hospital settingsKnowledge of Medicare cost-based reimbursement and ACA compliance reportingFamiliarity with regulatory requirements such as CMS, reimbursement, charge master, and financial systemsProficiency in electronic financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the community
