Experienced Paralegal Insurance Defense
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently looking to hire an experienced paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of insurance defense.Responsibilities:• prepare discovery demands and responses.• prepare and assemble motions.• knowledge of court rules, conferences, motion practice, filing of papers, etc.• knowledge of NYSCEF and e-filing rules.• monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.• conduct research to support legal proceedings.• investigate facts to help in negotiations.• articulate and able to speak with clients, insurance professionals and vendors.• write and prepare routine correspondence (i.e., letters about IME’s, authorizations, deposition witnesses, requesting documents, etc.).• diligent and able to manage multiple clients’ and attorneys’ diaries.• knowledge of document management systems for searching for and properly naming and saving various documents• knowledge of general billing practices; and• be a team player.
