Summary of Job Function: Functions as a care partner with the Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to a diagnostically/developmentally specific patient population; under supervision of the Registered Nurse, the MHA provides therapeutic interventions and treatments. Also responsible for unit support activities and clerical/administrative functions as directed. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Job Qualifications
BA/BS degree or 5+ years of related experience in a psychiatric services setting required. Must successfully complete MMC clinical training orientation. Annual BEST and BLS certifications.
