The Team

The Capital IQ Solutions team is comprised of world class people with a shared mission of enabling client workflows within the capital markets and corporate segments to support accurate and efficient research, analysis and decision making.

Responsibilities And Impact

The Strategy & Operations Senior Associate will work within, and alongside the leadership team, of the Capital IQ Solutions organization. This role will assist in building reports and presentations for the Capital IQ Solutions team, as well as progressing strategic programs, and using data and analytics to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate in this roll will be a self-starter and team player, be intellectually curious, and have strong analytical skills – both technically with data and qualitatively drawing actionable insights and conclusions from their work – and be able to communicate them clearly to the management team and cross-functionally. Responsibilities include:

Develop presentations and reporting for internal strategic meetings, industry events attended by members of the Capital IQ Solutions leadership teams, Board of Directors meetings, financial performance reviews and other similar needsSupport strategy formulation and execution, special strategic projects, and business development activities by providing actionable analysisAggregate & analyze data from different sources, manage reporting, mine insights for the team, and drive improvements in business initiativesPartner with cross-functional teams including business management, sales, people partners, finance and accounting, among others, to drive progress on strategic programsDevelop product and business line analyses to understand internal and external drivers and to facilitate better business decisionsUnderstand markets, competitors and emerging companies that impact the Capital IQ Solutions business and product offerings, support M&A target developmentOrganize training materials and team activities/events to facilitate collaboration and development

Qualifications

Bachelors degree; business and/or finance preferred3-5 years of prior experience in a strategic and/or analytical role within a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or financial technology companyProficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly PowerPoint, Excel; Salesforce experience is a plusUnmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without sacrificing qualityCuriosity and demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop meaningful commentary explaining trends in our businessAbility to craft compelling story that drives business understanding and outcomesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence internal stakeholdersProven effectiveness and comfort working with stakeholders (both internal and external) at different levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to self-direct and be proactive with a strong business sense, and accountability to meet deadlines

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $120,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
